Two of the three effectiveness conditions have been met and a global tender will be shortly issued for hiring a firm to verify the utilization of health services by project beneficiaries (third effectiveness condition). The capacity building and TA activities of the project have also been initiated and will be the focus on the next Supervision Mission tentatively scheduled for December 2017. The Prime Ministers Office has also recently created a Ministerial Committee on health care reform. The World Bank stands ready to support the Government of Jordan in the design and implementation of the proposed reform, through the activities of this project or through separate standalone TA drawing on its decades of global experience on healthcare reform and mission to help countries on the path to Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
