The project continued delivering tangible results to host communities and refugees, reaching 99% completion of subcomponent 1a in November 2016. Subcomponent 1b, financing NGOs is progressing as well and some activities have been showcased by the Lebanese media as best practices. An NGO delivered an award winning table game for children on environmental awareness, which will also be produced in large scale and sold to help the NGO increase its revenues. Activities in component 2 have been identified through additional consultations organized at the level of union of municipalities, with a selection based on a competitive process. The level of readiness of these investments, as of November 2016, has made progress. Although the activities are not ready for tendering yet, the implementing entity is working on them getting all necessary permits from other Government authorities. Project indicators are on track, both at PDO and intermediate results levels, some targets have been already surpassed, as interventions cover a wide area (e.g., Direct project beneficiaries, Conflict affected people receiving benefits, and Indirect beneficiaries).
