The main activity which is the civil works of the Manga – Zabre ( 78 km) road section is near completion. The provisional acceptance is expected to be completed by end of the year. Component B: There two groups of works in this component, Urban roads and Urban Infrastructure. For Urban roads (implemented by AGETIB), delays in RAP preparation and approval have prevented works starting. Now all RAPs were approved and implemented. 2 of the 3 required ESIAs were conditionally cleared by RSA and the third one is under review. contractors are ready to start works as soon the ESIAs are validated and disclosed. The execution rate is expected, at least, to reach 50% by end of January, and 100% by end March 2021. After easing restriction, technical studies were completed, and the procurement process completed with the selection of Contractors who are in charge of infrastructure construction. With the safeguards documents already prepared and partially cleared by RSA, the execution rate for works is expected to reach 10% by end January, and 100%, by end of June 2021.. Component C: Activities of this component have been reviewed during the MTR and only activities which are already implemented, or under implementation, or ready for implementation were selected. The remaining activities were cancelled. This ISR is based on a desk review and the minutes of the bi-monthly follow up meetings. It will be updated after the next mission. The next mission will be scheduled for early February 2021.
