The contracts for the installation of distribution networks has been awarded in 17 municipalities, while the bid submissions for eight contracts are being evaluated. The consultancy firm for carrying out the third-party annual municipal performance assessment has completed the baseline municipal performance assessment in all municipalities, and the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the national-level communication consultancy are being evaluated. The PMU has advanced the key sanitation activities including undertaking baseline sanitation assessment surveys in all 30 municipalities and identification of eligible households targeting the low-income communities for siting improved household toilets in 10 municipalities. Site location for public toilets has been confirmed in 10 municipalities and procurement for civil works is underway in 4 municipalities. The sites for an integrated fecal sludge and solid waste management facility sites in another 12 municipalities have been confirmed. The civil works for the required drainage improvements have been launched at 13 municipalities following contract award for 24 municipalities, with the procurement process at advanced stages of submission and evaluation for the remaining 6 municipalities.
