The process for appointment of RSHA Board Members is complete for most of the board with appointment of only one position pending. The transition strategy for handover of assets to RSHA has been finalized and under consideration of the government. (ii) Component 2- Civil works: This component includes eleven SH and MDRs to be upgraded through a combination of EPC (six corridors; four packages length – 472 kms and PPP-HAM (five corridors; four packages; length- 331km awarded) contracts in total eight packages. Construction has been completed on two out of four EPC packages (COD issued), remaining two packages - EPC-03 and EPC-04 physical progress is around 85% and 67% respectively. Out of total four HAM packages with total length of 331 km, appointed date has been issued for three packages and the fourth one scheduled in February 2023. Work on three HAM packages has just started. (iii) Component 3: An enhancement proposal to further strengthen the e-PMS is under consideration by relevant authorities. eRAP has been developed and will be ready shortly for user testing. RAMS has been developed and is ready for user testing and the data collection consultant is on board and process for collection of data for SH network is underway. The communication strategy prepared under the project is under implementation. GRM is functioning and user satisfaction surveys being carried out and currently at mid-term stage. (iv) Component 4: The IRAD system has been launched state-wide. The consultant for blackspot improvement is on board. Procurement for other road safety activities (strategy, speed management, performance audit) is complete and consultants to mobilize soon. (v) Component 5: PMC & TAC consultancies are working as per their respective scope of work.
