This ISR was prepared based on technical discussions with FNDS and UNOPS implemented during the months of January -March 2022. Activities under components 1, 2, and 3 have been initiated: contractor and grantees have been selected and started to carry out field operations in the following areas: (i) civil registration in three selected relocation sites (phase 1), (ii) provision of social cohesion activities, including the creation of six (6) peacebuilding committees in selected relocation sites and integrated 120 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and members of host communities in these peacebuilding committees. In component 2, (i) delivery of agriculture kits to 43,500 beneficiaries (including IDPs and host communities), (ii) mapping of skills gaps to commence vocational training completed (youth engagement for livelihoods support), and (iii) cash for work benefiting 610 IDP’s and members of host communities in the WASH infrastructure component were implemented. Under component 3, UNOPS has (i) implemented the first batch of emergency WASH infrastructure in selected relocation and temporary sites, including the construction of 2,016 latrines, 50 community bathrooms, 5 boreholes with hand pumps, and 7 water supply systems (2 large and 5 small extension), and (ii) continued government engagements to endorse approaches and technical specifications for durable infrastructure for education and health, and specifications for health procurement. .
