The PIU is fully established and the first civil works have been awarded, and the first lots are in the final stage of completion. The majority of consultancy assignments have been awarded or are to be awarded by the end of the year. The key activities in the coming period will be to continue the tendering procedures for subsequent phases of civil works and technical assistance program for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans for selected municipalities, and launching of Community Driven Campaigns. Special focus will be on improving overall quality of civil works designs. The Emergency Response Component of the project was activated and successfully completed.
