Implementation Status and Key Decisions
Implementation of the project has been advancing with contracts for major activities signed and works at an advanced stage particularly for
Component 2 (Transmission and distribution (T&D) restoration and modernization). Contract for the solar plant was signed in July 2022 after slight
delays in procurement and the expected completion date is in October 2023. Significant risks remain in relation to institutional turnaround of
NAWEC as a result of its deteriorating financial position.
