 Implementation Status and Key Decisions

  This is an initial implementation status and results report for the operation following World Bank Board approval on December 16, 2021. The project
  is pending effectiveness, which first requires Parliamentary ratification, expected by early March 2022. In the meantime, the Ministry of Science and
  Education has established a steering committee to advance work on some project activities. These include designing the Whole Day School (WDS)
  reform model, designing and announcing a public call for schools to apply to participate in the project and become WDS demonstration schools, and
  preparing a joint event with the WB team to present the WDS policy note and launch the reform.
