However, the project implementation has picked up yet has been suffering from repeated delays since the last implementation support mission conducted in November 2021. Among the thirty-five key milestones agreed in the last mission, twenty-six (74%) of them have been achieved. The key achievements since the last implementation support mission include: (i) completion of nine competency frameworks with gender aspects and gender-based violence integrated; (ii) establishment of a National Expert Panel which is now functional to review the quality of deliverables, including the competency frameworks; (iii) implementation of a number of knowledge exchange and capacity building activities, including conducting a field trip to assist all health training institutions to undertake gap assessment exercises and organizing workshops to develop strategic plans for health training institutions; and finally, (v) receipt of project funds by all health training institutions to implement the 2022 Annual Work Plan and Budget.
