The project has made the following progress: (i) Around 1,628 television and 687 online/mobile lessons following the national curriculum have been produced as of December 12, 2022. Television lessons are being aired nationally six days a week. Another 811 radio lessons scripts are ready for recording and will be completed by December 31, 2022; (ii) 150,000 supplementary learning materials for preprimary to Grade 5 printed and ready for distribution for academic year 2023; (ii) 19,331 government primary schools received sub-grants in two tranches to purchase health and safety materials; (iii) 1,993 GPS teachers (706 of whom female teachers) completed training on assessments, remedial education and mental health and well-being; (iv) 62,703 grade 3 and grade 4 students have been assessed on foundational learning; (v) results tracking survey for 1,600 primary and secondary schools completed; and (vi) draft Sustainability Plan for Remote Learning prepared for consultation and finalization.
