In Bangladesh, RIMES developed a voice message broadcasting system and disseminated four agrometeorological advisories to more than 7,200, 9,000, and 22,300 farmers in October, November, and December 2023 ahead of Cyclones Hamoon, Midhili, and Michaung respectively. RIMES organized the Regional Resilience Data and Analytics Services (RDAS) Community of Practice forum in Bangkok on November 29, 2023 and the Third Session of the South Asia Hydromet Forum Executive Council on November 30, 2023. The restructuring of Component 2 implemented by ADPC was completed in October 2023 to streamline the project design, scale up Subcomponent 2.4, and improve cost efficiency. ADPC established a regional technical advisory group comprised of representatives from UNESCAP, academia, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to screen and select innovators for the second Call for Proposal for Climate Innovation Challenge (CIC). The advisory group 12/20/2023 Page 1 of 11 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Climate Adaptation and Resilience for South Asia (P171054) selected seven innovators from the private sector, academia, and CSOs for piloting solutions in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
