The selected standards have 3, 5, 4 and 5 observable criteria respectively. For the purpose of the project 5 criteria (10.10, 11.12, 12.11, 18.9 and 18.12) have been selected for measurement. The criteria are aligned to good classroom practices and instructional coaching by school head or a senior Comments: teacher in the school. A CDSS where the selected criteria are observed to be taking place will be considered to have met the minimum standards for science and math instruction. The third year target is not Achieved, mostly due to the stringent measurement criteria. The parties agreed to restructure this indicator to align with reality in schools. The Ministry proposed a new structure for the 12/16/2023 Page 2 of 12 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Equity with Quality and Learning at Secondary (EQUALS) (P164223) indicator which was submitted to the World Bank for consideration and approval. The remaining one, namely the CDSS meeting minimum standards for quality science and mathematics instruction, lags behind due to the definition of the indicator which makes the qualification of CDSS practically challenging. The mission agreed to review the measurement criteria for this indicator. Of the 16 intermediate results indicators (IRIs), 6 have either surpassed their annual targets or met their end-of-project targets. Of the remaining 10 IRIs, 7 are experiencing delays in their measurement owing to the late start of foundational activities while the other 3 are below annual targets due to either low uptake of the interventions and computational challenges.
