Civil works in Basins Pa3 and Y started in December 2021 and will be completed by December 2023. Civil works in the third and last Basin AAc are about to start, with contracts that are already signed for the entrepreneur and supervision firm. The Assessment of the performance of the Operation & Maintenance mechanism for the stormwater drainage system in Cotonou was completed showing positive results and providing recommendations to maintain good and sustainable performance. The Société de Gestion des Déchets et de Salubrité (SGDS) was designated to play a major role in the O&M mechanism, providing services to the Municipality of Cotonou. The social facilitation NGO is working closely with communities in Project areas of intervention and has helped identify a first batch of seven (7) activities or sub-projects for which procurement process is underway.
