Please note that the capitalized terms used in this letter ("Amendment Letter") and not defined herein have the meanings ascribed to them in the Agreement. Pursuant to your letter dated March 10,2023, requesting the Association for specific amendments to the Project, we are pleased to inform you that the Association agrees to amend the Agreement in respect of the provisions below: 1. Section I.A1 of Schedule 2 is amended to read as follows: "1. The Recipient shall carry out the Project through its MAIEA, and shall maintain the following functions throughout Project implementation, all with functions, compositions, terms of reference, resources and staffing satisfactory to the Association: (a) the National Steering Committee, to be responsible for, inter alia, providing strategic guidance, as further set forth in the Project Manuals; and (b) the UCTF to be responsible for, inter alia, day-to-day implementation of the Project, including management, coordination, performance monitoring and evaluation, documentation of Project progress and results, and supervision of Project implementation, and Project fiduciary, procurement, disbursement, monitoring and evaluation, safeguards functions, coordination of projects, program policies and strategies in the agriculture sector, and communication and knowledge management, all as further set forth in the Project Manuals. 2. The table under Section IILA of Schedule 2 is amended as set out in the attachment to this Amendment Letter. 3. The Appendix is amended as follows: The definition for "CCP" is deleted. THE WORLD BANK t - ' A I WORLDBAEKGROUP The definition for "UCTF" is amended to read as follows: "UCTF" means the Recipient's technical and fiduciary coordination unit responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of the Project and referred to in Section I.A.I(d) of Schedule 2 to this Agreement. The remaining definitions are renumbered to follow the alphabetical order. All the terms and conditions of the Agreement that have not been amended hereby shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect. Please confirm your agreement with the foregoing amendment, on behalf of the Recipient, by signing, dating, and returning to the Association the enclosed copy of this Amendment Letter. This Amendment Letter shall become effective as of the date of its countersignature upon receipt by the Association of a countersigned copy of this letter.
