The operation was approved by the World Bank Board on June 16, 2022, became effective on August 8, 2022 and closes on June 30, 2023. The second operation in the series is scheduled for Board consideration in December 2023. The policy actions supported by the Strengthening Human Capital for a Resilient Morocco DPF have been completed successfully and the Government is continuing to make progress on the health and social protection reform agenda supported by the DPF series overall. The policy actions supported by the DPF series remain priority policy reforms for the government, specifically to implement supply and demand side reforms in the health and social protection sectors, to progress towards universal health and social protection coverage and increase the resilience of households against climate shocks.
