Notwithstanding, the delays in implementation of activities, beneficiaries of the project (children 0-59 months, adolescents 11-19 years and pregnant women) have increased from about 880,000 in July 2022 to slightly above 1 million as of February 2023. Moreover 45 Community Based Childcare Centers (CBCCs) out of 150 have been completed and handed over to the districts. Seventy-seven percent of VSL group membership are women, with average savings mobilized by the VSL groups in model CBCCs at around US$400,000.
