The project is on track to achieve its development objectives by the closure of the project in December 2023 and to fully disburse the project funds. Under component 1, a total of 24,927 people have received assistance from the project against a target of 24,000. The income support program completed payouts to 22,941 beneficiaries in 2020 (of which 8,842 are women and 6,165 female self-employed workers). The initial PDO indicator targets (of reaching 15,000 people) was revised upwards to account for the additional financing (AF) and the beneficiaries of training, apprenticeship, and self-employment programs, a component added to the project at the time of the AF. A total of 857 individuals have received the training so far in four areas: accounting (197), diving (366), ICT (219) and apprenticeship (75). Under the self-employed support program, a total of 1,877 individuals (87% women) across 45 islands have received entrepreneurship training.
