In addition, the project also supports households carrying out micro-projects to invest in Income Generating Activities (IGA). To this end, 18,982 out of 21,000 planned micro-projects have already been set up and received the first grant installment. An additional financing (US$83 million equivalent) became effective in October 2022, to expand access to social safety nets and income-earning opportunities to additional 25,000 households with a focus on women. And support income-earning opportunities for 45,000 vulnerable youth. With the new impetus given to the implementation of the project, with the recruitment of a new coordinator and a new fiduciary team, the project is expected to delivery services to 2,600 youth under sub-component 6.2 in 2024.
