KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The supervision mission revealed positive results including high reforestation targets in fuelwood plantations (18,700ha) and good progress for the timber reforestation targets (5,800ha), the 10 participatory forest management plans were finalized and submitted to the Council of Ministers in April 17, 2024 for adoption. Communities continue to benefit from the reforestation and maintenance of the plantations, generating US$33 million to the local economy. Furthermore, farmers are being trained on agroforestry and improved agriculture techniques by local NGOs. 5.
