KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions Since the project became effective on May 17th, 2023, MMAF has progressed with key actions to promote project implementation. A Ministerial Decree was enacted in August 2023 for the establishment of the Project Steering Committee, Technical Committee, and the Project Management office. The revised Annual Work Plan and budget for 2024 as well as procurement documents have been submitted. Whilst MMAF was not able to withdraw the LAUTRA fund (both IBRD-loan and Oceans MDTF grant) due to delays in the DIPA revision process, DIPA revision), some preparation activities and achievements were made under Component 1 using GOI budget, namely the revision of management plans for seven National MPAs, as well as the legalization of 2 Provincial MPAs. In addition, the implementation of PROBLUE- funded RETF Component 3 (Blue Finance, implemented by ICCTF-Bappenas) is progressing well. All the PIU project management consultants are on board and the procurement for the priority consultant positions (i.e., financing strategies) are progressing, with the expected commencement of work at the latest end of June 2024. 5.
