KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions For Component 1, both the delegated project management for AGETIER and the five contracts for private companies for waste removal are all signed, and the operation are ready to start. For Component 2, implementation of the project is progressing, all technical studies are ongoing or in the procurement process. The rapport of EIES/PAR is being validated. social impact statements are ongoing. For Component 3, the studies for investments in three neighborhood upgrading are continuing well, with the identification and costing of all priority investments selected by the communities and authorities. The next step consists of designing the infrastructures with inclusion of the youth and women on decision making processes, and the integration of nature-based solutions for better and sustainable impacts. In preparation of the coming rainy season, it is initiated a campaign for cleaning/unclogging the biggest collectors in Bamako. Pre-requisite toxicity studies of the sewage sludge are being undertaken before starting the operations. On sub-component 3c, the manual for the use of grants for urban incubators has been reviewed and validated by the WB team. In conformity with the project financing agreement, the subsidies will be managed by the PRUBA Coordination Team. The technical offers for recruiting the NGO urban incubators were opened on March 25, 2024, and the notification is being sent to the DGMP. For component 4, the ToRs for technical assistance covering the sub-components of the operationalization of Greater Bamako, the implementation of the digital resilience platform and the improvement of municipal service delivery has been validated by the World Bank. The Notice of Expression of Interest has been launched for the study of the master plan for Greater Bamako. 5.
