Infrastructure investments are coupled with the institutional capacity building activities for local partners to both implement the project activities and to be capable of maintaining the restored infrastructure and associated services. Despite the complex operating environment, the project performance remains strong. The likelihood of achieving the PDO and overall implementation are rated Satisfactory. The project has seen significant progress in the procurement of the total planned 424 sub-projects. To date, 141 subprojects have been completed, and another 152 subprojects are under implementation. The project scope was extended to support the emergency response to Cyclone Tej, which hit Yemen in October 2023. There are many remarkable achievements under the project, such as increased access to improved water sources, sanitation, roads, electricity connections, and solid waste.
