KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project was approved by the IDA Board of Executive Directors on January 23, 2024, and the Financing Agreement signed on February 14, 2024. The World Bank and the counterpart teams are working closely together to meet the two conditions of effectiveness: (i) establishment of the Project Implementation Unit and (ii) preparation and adoption of the Project Implementation Manual. In parallel, procurement activities for key work and preparatory studies are ongoing, financed under the project preparation advance, led by the interim Project Implementation Unit (which currently supports the IDA financed West Africa Unique Identification for Regional Integration and Inclusion (WURI) Program). A first implementation support mission is planned in June 2024 for the official launch of the Project. Following the mission, a new ISR will be filed and will provide a more detailed review of implementation progress. 5.
