KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The project was declared effective on March 29, 2024 and the core Project Implementation Unit, namely the coordinator and the procurement specialist, are actively moving forward key tasks required to initiate key activities and disbursement and make up for the list implementation time. Importantly, the Forestry Agency and the Ministry of Ecology organized two meetings in Samarkand with 40 Forest Enterprises to present the project and get them ready for implementation. The focus of the meetings was the restoration areas in each province. 5.
