Overall Comments PDO One of the cornerstones of the design and implementation of the DGM Project is an integrative approach to promote that IPLC women benefit from sustainable forest management. The project improves women’s access to assets, production factors and capacity building while improving their participation and voice on forest governance structures. The project does so by identifying and addressing the main legal, structural, and institutional barriers to the active participation of Mexican rural women in community forestry management. Progress in these objectives is measured through two PDO level indicators that are explicitly disaggregated by gender: 1) PDO Indicator 2: Share of targeted Local Community Promoters (LCP) with improved capacity supported by the project, and 2) PDO Indicator 3: People in targeted forest and adjacent communities with increased monetary or non-monetary benefits from forests. Updated disaggregated results are presented in the comments section of each indicator. During 2021, thirty-three surveys were carried out to estimate the non-monetary benefits of the subprojects (PDO3). In the second semester of 2022, the survey was applied to a larger number of beneficiaries including participants under the social inclusion grant window (VIS), who began implementing their projects in early 2021. Results on these surveys are being processed.
