4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions
The pace of implementation progress on the Federated States of Micronesia's Prioritized Road Investment and
Management Enhancements (PRIME) Project has been behind schedule. However, since the instatement of an interim
Project Manager in February 2024, delayed activities are now progressing. The Vulnerability Assessment and Climate
Resilient Road Strategy (VA/CRRS) report has now been completed and is of high quality. The preliminary designs for
three of the Urgent Works are nearing completion, and key pieces of technical assistance (e.g., the Institutional and
Governance Review, the design service for VA and CRRS Works, and the Climate-informed Road Asset Management
System activity) are advancing in implementation or procurement.
