KEY ISSUES & STATUS 4.1 Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Program was approved by the WBG Board of Directors on December 19, 2023 to provide IDA financing to Cabo- Verde, Guinea, Liberia and ECOWAS/WAHO. To date, Financing Agreements (FA) have been signed for Guinea, ECOWAS/WAHO and Cabo-Verde. It is expected that the Financing Agreement for Liberia would be signed soon. 4.2 MPA Program Development Objective Original MPA Program Development Objective (Approved as part of Approval (Seq. 1) package on 19-Dec-2023) Increase regional collaboration and health system capacities to prevent, detect and respond to health emergencies in Western and Central Africa. Current MPA Program Development Objective (Approved as part of (Seq. ) package on ) 4.3 Multiphase Programmatic Approach (MPA) Status (Public Disclosure) Phase 1 of the AFW MPA includes ECOWAS/WAHO and the following countries: Cabo-Verde, Liberia and Guinea. The Program was approved by the WBG Board of Directors on 19-Dec-2023. The Financing Agreements (FA) were signed for Guinea on 31-Jan-2024, ECOWAS/WAHO on 3-Feb-2024, and Cabo Verde on 2-Mar-2024. The effectiveness deadline for Guinea is 30-Apr-2024, for ECOWAS/WAHO is 3-Jun-2024, and for Cabo Verde is 2-Jun-2024. FA for Liberia is pending signature and expected to be signed soon. 5.
