Mishra and Singh: India: Tejaswini: Socioeconomic Empowerment of Adolescent Girls and Young Women Project Project (IDA Credit No. 5868-IN) Extension of Closing Date, Partial Cancellation of Credit, and Revised Results Framework We refer to the Financing Agreement, dated February 23, 2017, between India (“Recipient”) and the International Development Association (“Association”) (“Financing Agreement”) and to the Project Agreement of the same date, between the Association and the State of Jharkhand (“Project Implementing Entity” or “Jharkhand”) for the above-mentioned Tejaswini: Socioeconomic Empowerment of Adolescent Girls and Young Women Project (“Project”). The reference is also made to: (a) letter No. 10/10/2014-FB-V, dated September 8, 2022, from the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India with a request to extend Closing Date of the Project, and forwarding a letter from the Government of Jharkhand, No. 1117/JWDS/Tej./384/2022 dated September 2, 2022, also requesting an extension; and (b) letter No.10/10/2014-FB-V dated February 10, 2023, from the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, requesting cancellation of US$10,570,000 from total proceeds of the Credit. We are pleased to inform you that the Association agrees with your request. Therefore: (a) Pursuant to Section 6.01 of the General Conditions, the Association hereby cancels as of February 10, 2023, an amount equivalent to ten million five hundred seventy thousand United States Dollars (US$10,570,000) from the total Credit proceeds. Accordingly, the table in Section IV. A.2 of Schedule 2 to the Financing Agreement is revised to read as set forth in Annex 1 to this letter. As a result of this partial cancelation, commitment charges on the canceled amount cease to accrue from February 10, 2023; and Messrs. Mishra and Singh -2- March 28, 2023 (b) the Association has established August 25, 2023, as the later date for purposes of Section IV.B.2 of Schedule 2 to the Financing Agreement. As a result of the above-mentioned changes, performance monitoring indicators referred to in Section II of Schedule 2 to the Financing Agreement are also updated to read as set forth in Annex 2 to this letter.
