As of August 31, 2022, about 362,000 households had received their transfers. The DGPSN and the D-RNU are working to prepare for the extension of the registry to 1 million households. With the support of the national agency of statistics (Agence nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie – ANSD) and the World Bank, a vulnerability map was developed that allowed 10/10/2022 Page 1 of 8 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Senegal Safety Net Project (P133597) the RNU to establish quotas for the extension at commune level based on a rigorous methodology. The DGPSN and the D-RNU prepared a road map for the extension of the RNU that is scheduled to start in November 2022. In August, payments of the PNBSF program resumed in Sedhiou where the DGPSN delivered two payments. It is the first time that the DGPSN relies on another operator to deliver payments for the PNBSF program. The World Bank is working with the DGPSN for a timely delivery of the remaining payments. Preparatory activities for the extension of the YKK program are progressing well. The DGPSN revised training modules and has updated the M&E tools. The DGPSN acquired training materials for the extension to 45,000 beneficiaries. The training of trainers on community sensitization and savings groups has started in September 2022. Senegal has been affected by floods during the 2022 rainy season that is coming to an end. The FSN, in coordination with the DGPSN has launched preparation activities to provide cash transfer assistance to flood affected households in the regions of Thies, Dakar, Diourbel and Saint Louis. Surveys were conducted by local NGOs in areas affected by floods to assess damages. Based on estimated losses and poverty status, the FSN is preparing lists of beneficiaries that are expected to receive their transfers before mid-October.
