All six OPBRCs planned under the project have been awarded and implementation of the works are advancing. By the end December 2023, after the completion of the road designs, the rehabilitation works of 752 km of roads have been completed and the maintenance phase have started. The Consultancy Services for Road Asset Management System (RAMS) has reached the final stage with the system completed and operationalized, pending staff training. Component 2: Progress on this component is satisfactory with several activities already completed and the second phase is under implementation. After the successful pilot in Phase 1, the nationwide implementation of the Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS) has started under Phase II. The system integration support to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency is also underway. Component 3: The three AITs and the Project Coordination office have been established, and institutional support has been provided for the efficient implementation of the day-to-day project activities. The review of the National Transport Policy (NTP) of 2008 was completed, through consultancy services financed under the project, and approved by Cabinet of Ghana on August 17, 2020. The Assessment Study for the Development of the Volta Lake Inland Transport System, has been completed.
