Implementation Status and Key Decisions
The project has added an additional capacity of 200 MVA at 132kV, till December 31, 2023, and the same is in commercial use. Another 600 MVA
of additional capacity and augmentation of 6 existing sub-stations, is ready for commissioning subject to completion of associated transmission
lines. JUSNL is making regular compensation payment for temporary displacement to project affected persons (PAPs) in transmission lines.
The distribution company, JBVNL, has implemented a new digital application for Revenue Management System. Around 900,000 consumers (25%
of total) are being billed through this system. The contract for 3,50,000 smart meters in Ranchi is under progress and 170,000 smart meters were
installed till December 31, 2023. Implementation of automated network metering, power procurement optimization and customer care centre
is also in progress. An IT Project Management Office (staffed by a consulting Firm) is supporting JBVNL in implementation of these packages.
