A more detailed ISR will be prepared based on the findings of the implementation support mission that will be carried out in March 2024. Since effectiveness, the focus of implementation has been on prioritizing and onboarding states that would participate in the project. As the result, 18 states have signed subsidiary loan agreements (SLAs) with the Federal Ministry of Finance for participation in the project and 11 states have now met the disbursement conditions. Progress has been made to formalize a partnership between the Federal Ministry of Finance (FMoF), the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), and the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) to trigger the roll out of project activities in support of increased access to finance by livestock value chain actors: (i) the Credit Line Manual for the operations of Subcomponent 2.2 (Support to Increased Access to Finance) has 1/25/2024 Page 1 of 13 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (P160865) been reviewed and updated in line with the Project Appraisal Document and Financing Agreement; (ii) the MoU between FMAFS and DBN has been prepared and is expected to be signed in January 2024. The MoU defines the contours of key implementation modalities as well as signing a subsidiary loan agreement between DBN and FMoF stipulating the terms and conditions for the credit line financing that would be extended to DBN for onward lending to financial institutions interested in providing credit to the livestock sector. NB: "Agriculture" or "Agricultural" includes: crops, livestock, capture fisheries, aquaculture, agroforestry, timber and non-timber Comments: forest products. Adoption refers to a change of practice or change in use of a technology that was introduced or promoted by the project. Technology includes a change in practices compared to currently used practices or technologies (seed preparation, planting time, feeding schedule, feeding ingredients, postharvest storage/ processing, etc.). If the project introduces or promotes a technology package in 1/25/2024 Page 2 of 13 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (P160865) which the benefit depends on the application of the entire package (e.g., a combination of inputs such as a new variety and advice on agronomic practices such as soil preparation, changes in seeding time, fertilizer schedule, plant protection, etc.), this counts as one technology.
