The client and the Bank team agree the PDO remains achievable within the closing date (June 30, 2026) as long as major contracts related to the Transparaíba System, the rehabilitation and expansion of the sewerage system in João Pessoa, and the NRW project to reduce physical losses for the metropolitan area start their implementation in the forthcoming months.. 6/14/2022 Page 1 of 9 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Paraiba Improving Water Resources Management and Services Provision (P165683) The Bank Team will continue to support the Borrower with various experts, including procurement, wastewater treatment, water resources management, and non-revenue water specialists. Fortnightly monitoring and implementation support meetings have been scheduled for the most critical activities. The counterpart activities are progressing well: works at the Curimatau Branch and one pumping station of the sewerage system in Joao Pessoa (Usina 1) are underway.
